After 12 years working as a digital marketing manager, I started BusinessWithTom because I wanted to be that one accountable person — the one who actually understands how everything connects, and fixes it properly.

Why not just hire someone?
It's a fair question. Here's the honest answer.
You can't hire me as an employee — I'd cost you at least SGD 10,000 a month in salary alone. Add Singapore's mandatory 17% CPF employer contribution, and you're looking at over SGD 11,700 a month, or more than SGD 140,000 a year. For one person.
And that's if you hire someone at my level. A fresh graduate with the right CV might come in at SGD 2,500 to 3,500 a month — but they'll spend 3 to 6 months figuring out what I already know. By the time they understand the problem, you've spent upwards of SGD 15,000 and you're still waiting for results.

BusinessWithTom is Tom, a Singapore-based digital consultant. I help SME owners get their domain, business email, website and the systems behind them working properly — as one accountable person, rather than a chain of vendors who point fingers when something breaks.
What services do you offer?
Custom website development and revamps, business email and domain setup, e-commerce stores, and operations digitalisation — replacing manual WhatsApp-and-Excel workflows with simple web apps. I build on my own platform (no WordPress plugin sprawl) and stay on to maintain everything.
Are you a pre-approved PSG grant vendor?
No. I focus on quality custom builds rather than grant-subsidised templates, so I am intentionally not on the pre-approved PSG vendor list. Do I need technical knowledge to work with you?
Not at all. Most of my clients are business owners, not techies. You tell me the outcome you want — more enquiries, an online shop, less admin — and I handle the domain, hosting, build and technical details, explaining everything in plain English.
